Das Lächeln Gottes
Mit dem Titel „Das Lächeln Gottes“ möchte ich nicht zum Ausdruck bringen, dass ich an die Existenz Gottes glaube. Als Buddhist bin ich kein gläubiger Mensch. Ich habe also keine Antwort auf die Frage nach der Existenz Gottes. Dass es ihn gibt, halte ich nicht für wahrscheinlich. Sollte ich ihm begegnen, dann ist es eben so.
Was mich wundert, ist die Vorstellung eines Gottes, der sich dafür interessiert, ob du an ihn glaubst oder nicht.
Selbst von einem spirituellen Lehrer – der ja im besten Falle nichts Göttliches haben sollte – erwarte ich, dass er völlig unabhängig davon ist, ob Menschen seinen Worten folgen oder gar an ihn glauben. Die Freude und der Stolz über die Zustimmung von Menschen können die Seele vergiften und einem das Gefühl von Macht geben. Wer abhängig wird von der Energie anderer, beraubt sich seiner spirituellen Tiefe und belügt die Menschen.
Im Zen geht es darum, die Vorstellung eines Selbst aufzugeben und sich vor dem wunderbaren Leben zu verneigen. Ohne den Gedanken an Transzendenz. Es kann nur das JETZT geben.
Durch die Meditation erkennen wir das Beruhigende und Tröstliche daran. Die Angst wird weniger und unser Blick auf uns und andere realistischer, unser Verhalten angemessener.
Es entwickelt sich die Gewissheit, dass alles gut ist. Was uns nie daran hindern soll, uns den Schwierigkeiten des Lebens zu stellen.
Sollte ich in den Augen eines lieben Menschen das Lächeln Gottes erkennen, dann freue ich mich. Ohne jede Sehnsucht nach einem anderen Ort und einer anderen Zeit.
